Boho Porch REVEAL - Spring 2021 One Room Challenge

The time has FINALLY come to reveal my porch makeover! So many things in life got in the way of this project, and there were times I wasn't sure I was ever going to finish. It's been a season of personal growth, persevering through some very difficult challenges, and this project was no different. But I'm glad I persevered and did the damn thing, even if I am about 6 weeks late to the official reveal. Overall I am so happy with how the porch turned out, and we've been loving spending time out there.

This project was part of the Spring 2021 One Room Challenge, a biannual interior design event that challenges & encourages interior design lovers to complete a room makeover in 8 weeks. So, let's get into it! Take a look at how the porch looked before we began.

Clutter, random furniture, lack of style and flow... pretty much the starting point for every room I've worked on in our home so far. But, I saw a lot of potential and knew I wanted to clean and cohesive space that would be an extension of our home, where we could relax and enjoy the short Minnesota summers (and hopefully the winters too, with the addition of some heaters). So I set out to completely make over this space, including refinishing the floors, repainting all the walls and windows, and adding new furniture to bring function and style to the room.
