Welcome to week 5 of the Better Homes and Gardens One Room Challenge!

If you're new here, follow along on my journey to transform our master bedroom into a boho oasis in 6 weeks!

Last week I showed you our beautiful new headboard, new bedding, new mirror and new nightstand pulls. Lots of newness! I also mentioned I'd be returning the first rug I bought, and that we'd be setting up our new IKEA dressers.

I am happy to report I got all that done and MORE! This week we got our dressers assembled and put in place, the new rug came (it's perfect!), and I finally got to start styling the room! The only issue we ran into is the sconces I ordered did not fit our junction boxes, so I had to go back to the drawing board to find different ones. But that's okay! I think the new ones will be even prettier.

Since this is our first cohesively designed bedroom together, I really wanted to make the room feel like US. So I had some photos printed from our engagement shoot, and created this gallery wall with those photos and other pictures from our travels. The natural wood frames are new, and the terra cotta frames we already owned but I painted them using the paint + baking powder trick with paint we already had on hand (Sherwin Williams Cavern Clay).

And since there's a glare in the photo, I thought it'd be fun to share some of our engagement pictures here. These were taken on our trip to Lake Atitlán, Guatemala earlier this year.

Ahh.. I love these pics. So gorgeous.

But back to the room! I also set up this fun little ditty above our other dresser.

And the last thing I wanted to share this week is our closet door. I had not originally planned to do this, but once I got the idea in my head I had to see it through...

The power of paint, people! The door just pops now, and I know it was the right decision because my fiancé has commented multiple times how much he loves it.

That's all I have for this week! Be sure to stop by next week for the FINAL REVEAL!!! And be sure to check out all of the other amazing designers & DIYers participating in the One Room Challenge.

Sam
